Five Nights at Freddy's is based on the 2014 video game of the same name, which has the player operate as Mike, a security guard for Freddy Fazbear's Pizzeria, an eerie and run-down children's entertainment facility.

The video is chock-full of terrifying moments from the horror film, including Mike being strapped to a chair as whirring blades inch close to his face, and arms emerging from a decaying animatronic mouth.
